As the first-ever Vice President of Human Resources, you’ll play a pivotal role in defining and executing a comprehensive HR strategy that supports the organization's ambitious goal of 20% annual growth over the next three years. With 150 employees and a growing network of 61 playhouses nationwide, this is your chance to build and lead a dynamic HR function that fosters a positive, inclusive workplace culture while driving organizational success. In this role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to develop and implement initiatives that align with GiGi’s mission, from enhancing talent acquisition and career development programs to designing replicable HR practices that support playhouses nationwide. As a key member of the leadership team, you’ll act as both a strategic advisor and a coach, empowering managers in strengthening relationships across the organization. Responsibilities
- Gather a high-level view of the company as a whole : processes; vision; mission; core values and gain a total understanding of how & why we operate.
- Identify major priorities to develop and or revise policies and procedures.
- Audit current benefits and vet other options.
- Launch a structured career path framework and professional development programs to support employee growth and retention. Successfully reduce month end close time to 30 days.
- Design and implement an employee engagement strategy, including actionable steps from initial feedback sessions to improve workplace culture and satisfaction.
- Standardize HR practices and create replicable tools to be shared with playhouses nationwide, ensuring consistency and efficiency across locations.
- Be 100% integrated into VP of HR seat, LMA / change management.
- Demonstrate measurable improvements in hiring quality, retention rates, and employee engagement scores, linked directly to newly implemented strategies.
- Establish GiGi’s Playhouse as an HR leader in the nonprofit sector by completing scalable systems and policies that support anticipated 20% annual growth.
