- Drafts correspondence, schedules appointments, organizes files, and provides information to visitors and callers.
- Answers telephones, takes messages, and transfers calls without delay.
- Greets patients, clients, and providers, directs them properly, and records necessary information.
- Schedules appointments with case managers, counselors, and physicians.
- Makes reminder calls for appointments.
- Maintains confidentiality and does not disclose patient or client information.
- Focused on patient and client needs, responds rapidly to issues.
- Uses computers for database management and word processing.
- Creates, maintains, and enters information into databases.
- Executes and handles paperwork and authorizations.
- Sets up and manages filing systems, recording information and updating paperwork.
- Operates office equipment and arranges repairs when necessary.
- Handles visitor inquiries and directs them to appropriate persons.
- Maintains knowledge of safety regulations and performs job functions safely.
- May provide crisis intervention assistance with licensed staff members.
- Maintains scheduling and event calendars.
- Completes forms according to company procedures.
- Distributes mail accurately and on time.
- Maintains and orders office supplies.
- Schedules and confirms appointments.
- Makes copies and routes correspondence and materials.
- Changes priorities to accomplish tasks despite frequent interruptions.
- Communicates clearly, both orally and in writing.
- Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.
### Required Tasks:
- High School Diploma, Associate Degree preferred.
- One to three years of administrative experience in a medical environment, behavioral health experience preferred.
- Experience working in a Native American environment preferred.
- CPR Certification.
- Fingerprint clearance for TCH only.
- Able to relate to diverse cultures and specifically the Gila River Community and/or other Native American cultures.
- Interest in medical subjects, patient services/care, and customer service.
- Prior medical environment work experience is preferred.
