Position Summary: The position oversees emergency and non-emergency communication and camera monitoring by performing the duties listed below. Using impeccable judgment, they prioritize situations in order of importance and direct support where needed. Responsible for ensuring that all critical tasks are fulfilled on a timely, professional basis.
Critical Tasks:
- Answers and prioritizes responds to any emergency and non-emergency calls to provide assistance or important information.

Uses computer terminal to input, retrieve and transmit information.

Communicates as necessary with all security staff to ensure delivery of coordinated response to calls for service from patients, staff and visitors.

Using telephones,two-way radios,or text messages to contact employees and/ or emergency personnel.

Assigns and dispatches staff and vehicles based upon requests, work order, and priority needs in a highly effective and time efficient basis.

Ensures clear understanding by all staff of the incident and call for service.

Conducts virtual patrols using cameras, sensors, and other equipment to monitor for suspicions activity.

Enters data into computer system for records keeping.

Logs each call and corresponding occurrence report.

Maintains accurate records, logs, notations and receipts of all activities for later review and follow-up actions.

Ensures accurate completion of all documentation by staff on a very timely basis.

Corrects errors when they occur.

Notifies management concerning need for repairs to vehicles and equipment.

Complies fully with all confidentiality regulations and policies while not disclosing any patient or personal information with unauthorized persons.

Makes real-time adjustments as necessary and ensures full communication to all affected parties.

Relays information, such as work orders or other messages, to and from staff, supervisors or emergency personnel as appropriate.

To the greatest degree possible, develops knowledge of staff and their capabilities to ensure that they are assisted to the greatest degree possible.

Responds to confusion and complaints in a diplomatic manner while making all reasonable efforts to meet needs.

Maintains focus upon caller needs while taking all necessary steps to ensure that those individuals are responded to rapidly, based upon their stated issues and the observations of this position holder.

Uses their exceptional judgment to regularly change priorities to accomplish all tasks despite frequent interruptions.

Demonstrates ability to clearly communicate, both orally and in writing, while performing all essential functions.

Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year working as a dispatcher that experience triaging emergency and non-emergency calls for service in a fast pace environment.
- Complies fully with all confidentiality regulations and policies not disclosing information to unauthorized persons.
- Ability to communicate with supervisors, staff, patients, and visitors accurately, timely and using appropriate methods e.g. phone, letters, memos, email, type 30 Words per Minute (WPM) etc.
- Ability to effectively operate various forms of alarm, access control systems and handle routine maintenance of the same.
- Ability to work assigned shifts according to schedule, or other assigned shifts and duties.
- Current and continuing CPR/AED training and certifications within1year in position.
- Demonstrated ability to relate to diverse cultures and specifically the Gila River Community and/or other Native American cultures.
