Position Summary: Provides family life and living skills education generally in community member residences by performing the following duties personally. Responsible for ensuring that all critical tasks are fulfilled on a timely basis.
Critical Tasks:
- Maintains exclusive focus upon patients/residents served, the quality of their care, their individual needs and their life outcomes without significant distraction by administrative and non-patient subject activities.
- Complies fully with all client and resident records and information privacy regulations, state and federal.
- Takes all steps necessary to fully ensure patient/resident data confidentiality and security.
- Delivers culturally sensitive and successful education to community members and their families on subjects such as child development, family heath, familial bonding, school readiness, and conflict resolution and lifestyle success. Developmental screenings and follow up is conducted as well.
- Provides child and young adult development screenings primarily for customizing programs and guidance provided to community members and their families or guardians.
- Researches, develops and implements beneficial provider and resource networks.
- Creates and maintains exceptional developmental relationships with all clients through responsiveness, understanding, professional knowledge, and causing clients to embrace the concept of continuous life success and personal fulfillment on dimensions individually meaningful to clients.
- Takes all steps necessary to comply with curricula certifications.
- Continually develops knowledge on varying successful approaches to individual and family health and development.
- Identifies closely with the position objective of positively impacting client lives on a measurably positive basis.
- Utilizes various instructional designs driven largely by client circumstances while consistently ensuring instructional success as measured by individual and family life quality outcomes.
- Collaborates closely with other service providers to ensure beneficial life quality and health outcomes for individuals and families as clients.
- Completes various activity reports and case documents as required on a timely and high-quality basis.
- Maintains exceptional dependability and timeliness for client commitments and appointments. Multi-tasks with exceptional efficiency.
- Maintains full knowledge on all Mandatory Reporting subjects and without fail takes all steps to report and ensures that authorities respond rapidly under all such observed circumstances. Defers to no persons suggesting or requiring that such reporting actions do not occur.
- Maintains exceptional capability at establishing client goals that are met to the benefit of clients.
- Maintains knowledge of outside resources of a specialized nature and successfully refers clients in need to those resources while ensuring that contact between clients and resources occurs properly.

- Demonstrates ability to regularly change priorities to accomplish all tasks despite frequent interruptions.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (early childhood development, education, family studies, human development, nursing, social work or a closely related field) from an accredited university.
- A minimum of one year experience in early childhood education, individual or family educator role, with experience with Native American clientele preferred.
- CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Demonstrated ability to relate to diverse cultures and specifically the Gila River Community and/or other Native American cultures.
- Interest in education, community development, child development, patient services/care, and customer service.
