Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Construction Accountant at Gilbane Building Company in West Palm Beach, FL. The Construction Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day financial tasks related to construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cost analysis.
Qualifications
- Manage contracts, amendments, insurance, bonds, SOV, Files, and Co Policies
- Produce timely and accurate requisitions and lien waivers
- Format and set-up project forecast to meet both internal and client reporting needs
- Manage monthly project forecast meetings and maintain accurate ETC for employee PCI expense
- Ensure timely management of accounts receivable and payables
- Manage the closeout process
- Develop and maintain positive professional relationships both internally & externally
- Review fee proposals
- Financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting skills
- Experience in construction project accounting
- Knowledge of construction cost analysis
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or relevant certification is a plus
