Overview
Calvary Street Property Management, a subsidiary of Gilbane Development Company, is a leading provider of property management services for residential and commercial properties. The Assistant Director of Nursing (RN, LVN, or LPN) works closely with the Executive Director and Resident Care Coordinator to ensure the quality care of all residents. This role requires an understanding and commitment to the principles and values of the community and must demonstrate flexibility with residents who have complex situations. Responsibilities include assessment and service planning to ensure resident care needs are evaluated, as well as providing training and oversight of the Medication Techs and Caregivers.
Responsibilities
- Implements interim service plans in partnership with the Resident Care Coordinator as care needs change and assures all Med Aides / Licensed Nurses are in-serviced.
- Provide oversight and required documentation for third-party providers for coordination of care.
- Conduct routine audits amongst other departments as directed by the Executive Director.
- Implement systems and protocols per company standards along with state, federal, and industry regulations while remaining compliant, including Infection Control Practices, Assessments, and Resident monitoring.
- Maintain compliance practices per state, federal, industry, and company regulations and have ongoing knowledge of regulation updates and changes.
- Become familiar with the service plan program and all of the reports it can create.
- Order incontinent supplies and durable medical equipment as needed.
- Ensure home health, hospice, and ancillary care providers communicate their visits and provide necessary documentation.
- Complete MAR audits.
- Monitor the medication room to assure organization and cleanliness.
- Assist with tracking and recording incident reports, ensuring investigations are completed.
- Work as manager of the day as directed by the Executive Director.
- Maintain a monthly budget for the Health Services department.
- Track that all health services staff have the necessary training required for their job, such as CPR, First Aid, and dementia training, if applicable.
- Full staff management responsibilities for healthcare staff including hiring, training, performance reviews, counseling, and discharge, if necessary.
- Complete delegation training, assessments, and documentation per state guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with clinical budget in all aspects : staffing and supplies.
- On-call for clinical support to the community and staffing to cover shifts if needed.
- Other tasks as assigned.
