What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2025 E2 Summer Aide position at Gilbert Linkous Elementary School?
The Gilbert Linkous E2 aide assists the Gilbert Linkous program director by working with elementary aged students on educational and enrichment activities during our summer program, Monday-Friday. The position allows the aide to work up to 29 hours per week.
Our summer program is open during June & July.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical strength
- Ability to cooperate with other staff members
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment
- Dependability and punctuality required
- Ability to respond to emergencies in support of students and school operations
- Have the physical ability to repeatedly lift heavy objects (20 lbs.) as needed
- Ability to support school functions and community activities as deemed necessary
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Possess effective verbal and written communication skills
- Possess the personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- Ability to be dependable and punctual
- CPR certification
