What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal position at Gilbert & Martin LLP?
Gilbert & Martin is seeking qualified applicants to serve as our new Paralegal starting immediately.
Job duties include:
- directly working with an attorney to facilitate the purchase or sale of real property and attendant tasks such as implementing contract revisions; ordering title and municipal violation searches; coordinating closing timeline; and assisting in preparing closing statements and other documents;
- directly working with an attorney to assist in litigation matters by reviewing and filing pleadings, motions and other court filings; drafting and reviewing applications/petitions; and researching discreet legal issues; and,
- supervising and performing administrative tasks such as billing, filing and scheduling, among other duties.
Pay starts at a salary of $1000 per week, but will ultimately be commensurate with skill and experience. Applicants should have experience with administrative tasks, and have demonstrably strong organizational, customer service and writing skills. Prior paralegal experience is preferred. Spanish language skills are a plus. Applicants with law school experience will be given priority. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis.
