Summary
We are seeking an experienced AP/Office Assistant for our Gilbert Orchards, Yakima locationto maintain accurate and organized records, process vendor invoices/cash receipts, assist with month & year end closing, and complete accounting reports as needed. Successful candidates must have previous A/P experience; familiarity with FAMOUS software is a huge plus; and a degree in Accounting is preferred, but not required. You must work well independently as well in a team. A strong attention to detail skills is required.
- Base Wage = DOE ($17.00 – 23.00/hour) OT for hours worked over 40/week.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Review invoices to ensure appropriate documentation and signature are attached.
- Respond to vendor inquiries.
- Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies.
- Assist Finance with period-end closing.
- Communicate with operation managers to coordinate timely AP payments, with accuracy in the amount and account coding.
- Perform daily filing of paperwork, ensuring the integrity of audit trail.
- Prepare and process checks for signature and posting any electronic payments, as directed.
- Receive visitors and employees, following the company protocol.
- Answer and transfer incoming calls to the main number.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills & Experience Required:
- Associates Degree or equivalent combination preferred.
- 1-3 years Accounts Payable experience required.
- Strong skills in database (Excel) and accounting programs, strongly preferred.
- Good communications and organization skills required.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks timely in a fast-moving environment.
- Punctual and reliable attendance required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skill required.
