Transportation Dispatcher

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients. Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule transportation routes for efficient delivery of goods.
• Communicate effectively with drivers to provide updates and resolve any issues that may arise during transit.
• Utilize phone systems and logistics software to track shipments and manage fleet operations.
• Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to optimize supply chain processes.
• Monitor transportation management systems to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and fleet performance metrics.
• Assist in troubleshooting any logistical challenges that may impact delivery schedules.

Skills

• Proficiency in logistics management and supply chain principles.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and clients effectively.
• Ability to type efficiently for data entry and documentation purposes.
• Familiarity with phone systems for effective communication with drivers and clients.
• Experience with 3PL operations is a plus.
• Knowledge of transportation management software and fleet management practices.
• Familiarity with SyteLine or similar ERP systems is advantageous.
• Understanding of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for route optimization is preferred.
