What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant/Toddler Teacher position at Gilda's Preschool Academy?
Gilda’s Preschool Academy seeks to hire Lead Teachers. The Child Development Center provides quality childcare to children ages 1 to 3 years. Teachers plan and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum for an inclusive classroom of 8 children and create a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment. Teachers conduct daily observations of children’s learning, modifies activities to ensure participation of all children including those with disabilities, and documents child development. Lead teachers collaborate with other center staff to develop instructional plans and communicate effectively with families.
Job duties include maintaining established teacher/child ratios at all times, following child abuse and neglect reporting procedures, complying with state child care licensing regulations, providing instruction and activities, maintaining a classroom environment that ensures all aspects of the program are aligned with the program's curriculum, ensure all children are able to participate in the curriculum and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required: * Child Development Associate (CDA)
* Able to bend and lift young children in and out of cribs, high chairs, and carry them to safety if necessary.
Preferred but not required: * 1 year experience working with young children * Experience using coaching-based interventions
* Experience with the Creative Curriculum, TS GOLD, and/or CLASS
Applicants without a (CDA) may still apply but are expected to begin work towards attaining one.

Pay: $15.55 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
