The opportunity:
Loads, unloads, transports, and stores distribution materials in warehouse locations using powered/unpowered equipment which may include forklifts, standup walkies, standup reaches, standup pacers, standup high-reach and hand pallet jacks. Handles cartons in accordance with business needs by performing pallet picks, case picks, pallet building and putting cases on the conveyor.
- Operates 589 trans loader equipment at heights up to 64 feet.
- Efficiently uses Manhattan WMS, powered equipment (589 trans loader, standup reach, standup walkie rider, standup pacer), and RF equipment.
- Interacts with queue monitor, team leader and supervisor; takes direction (RF and verbally) to conduct all aspects of the DC operation while working with little to no supervision.
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- This opportunity is based in our Sales Marketing and Distribution Team.
The requirements
- High School Diploma
- 6 Months to 1 Year related experience
- Work requires almost continuous moderate physical effort OR frequent heavy physical effort (several times a day).
- Significant exposure to one disagreeable condition OR occasional exposure to several disagreeable conditions/one very disagreeable condition.
- Little or no exposure to hazards; very limited risk of injury or health problems.
- Prior warehouse experience preferred
- Prior powered equipment experiences preferred
- Basic Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred (Manhattan WMS)
- Prior experience operating Radio Frequency (RF) equipment, i.e. scanners, etc.
- Must be able to work from heights up to 64 feet and be able to wear safety lanyard and harness daily
- Must be able to maintain a high degree of focus to promote a safe work environment and prevent injury to others

Good verbal communication required
Must be able to successfully pass the Powered Equipment Certification Test(s) for each piece of equipment assigned prior to operation - certification includes both written and practical application processes - Must be able to sit/stand for a majority of the time during the work day
- Must be able to stand, squat, bend, and lift 50 lbs. continuously throughout the day
- Hearing is required for audible instructions, audible safety tones/warning, and equipment operations
- Vision is required to operate a RF keyboard and/or scanner; and to complete required data entry
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English language effectively
- Must be able to work in a team-based warehouse environment
