The opportunity :
- Each Forklift or Squeeze Lift operator must complete a daily inspection sheet at the beginning of each shift.
- Each lift must be blown off weekly.
- Every lift must be plugged into a charging station when not in use or the operator is at break.
- Must be a Gildan certified licensed lift truck operator to bring in bales of cotton for each laydown and / or to drive a forklift and / or squeeze lift
- Align laydown in numerical order to blend properly according to laydown sheets.
- Open and clean bales of cotton.
- Bales should be clean of dirt, grease, wood, bagging, or any other foreign matter that might damage opening equipment.
- Cut wrap with a vertical cut making two horizontal cuts, one at the top and one at the bottom of each bale. Continue to watch for contamination.
- Place all bale wire ties in the designated metal dumpster. Any burlap, plastic, and / or polypropylene should be taken to proper areas for baling and / or disposal immediately after opening laydown.
- Sweep laydown area before and after laydown is completed
- This opportunity is based in our Yarns Division
