Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled EFDA Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the practice. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including but not limited to endodontics and general dentistry tasks.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately in the medical records system.
- Manage patient appointments and maintain organized dental records using Dentrix or similar systems.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Provide support for pediatric patients, ensuring their comfort during visits.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental office to ensure a safe environment for both staff and patients.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of dental anatomy, procedures, and terminology is essential.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable.
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and maintain detailed medical records.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
- A commitment to providing compassionate care in a team-oriented environment.
- Certification in radiology or willingness to obtain certification is preferred.

Our office is open on Mondays and Fridays. These would be our clinical days. We need to hire an assistant who is dependable for these 2 days a week every week. We can also offer an extra non-clinical day for the assistant to come in on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday if needed, possibily full-time to the right individual.
