What are the responsibilities and job description for the NEMT Driver position at GILES HEALTH & FAMILY CENTER?
Looking for a job that is service oriented? Want to be prt of a team that helps others? Giles Health and Family Center operates its transportation program 7 days a week. Operation is 24 hours a day if needed when drivers are available. Non-Emergency medical transports include methadone, dialysis, cancer treatments, behavior health and other medical appointments. Assistance is also provided for those needing social support trips such as the grocery store, worship services, work support groups and other life enhancing needs. Drivers are responsible to operate the transport vans to pick up and drop off clients/participants to scheduled appointments, Adult Day Care services and/or community social related activities.
We are looking for full time and part time drivers as well as weekend drivers to join our team.
All staff members required to operate agency owned vehicles must complete required trainings before operating agency vehicles. Transportation employees are required to be able to lift at least 50lbs, be able to turn and view side mirrors, secure and assist passengers and/or other needs. Walking and standing stability with no restriction on movement or limitations is a condition of employment.
All training is provided by GHFC and employees will be paid for time spent training. Applicants must pass a background check including criminal history, driver record and drug screen.
