Summary
Manufacturing Facility in need of an experienced shipping & receiving specialist. This is a full-time day position. As a shipping & receiving specialist, you will be integral to the efficient operation of our plant, focusing on shipping and receiving tasks. Your core skills in order fulfillment and warehouse experience will ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments. You will utilize premium skills such as forklift operation and warehouse management systems to enhance productivity. Strong communication skills and proficiency in MRP system, will aid in coordinating with team members and managing inventory effectively. Join us to contribute to a seamless logistics process in a fast-paced environment. Reports to operations manager. Required to assist and run some secondary operations and visual inspection, after applicable training.
Candidate will be well organized, have basic math skills, able to multitask with excellent attention to detail. This is a fast-paced job with a lot of volume. Excellent communication skills are necessary. Compensation is competitive. This is not an entry level position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibility for timely shipping, receiving and inventory accuracy.
Provide visual inspection prior to packaging and shipping.
Provide incoming receiving inspection
Package to protect parts based on ship to location and how shipped.
Ship to ensure on time delivery.
Frequent contact with all other employees.
Participates in annual physical Inventory
Perform secondary operations as required.
Able to lift up to 40 lbs
Filing as required.
Look for continuous improvement opportunities.
Must be able to multitask
Pay attention to detail
Visual inspection
All other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualification/Training Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Prior shipping, receiving and inventory control experience preferred
Secondary equipment and mfg. process knowledge preferable
Purchasing knowledge helpful.
Good communication and listening skills
Requires internal MRP training
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
