The Gillespie Group seeks a skilled and dedicated individual to serve as our champion of top-notch customer service for our community grounds. This role requires a strong commitment to excellence, professionalism, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily trash pick up and removal, including mowing day operations
- Cleanliness of curbs and sidewalks
- Sweeping parking lots
- Cleaning carports
- Completing basic service tasks
- Preparing apartments for new tenants, including painting
- Spraying weeds in parking lots, carports, and sidewalks
- Pulling weeds, deadheading flowers, and watering plants
- Beds cleaning in the spring and fall
- Trims shrubs as needed
- Laying mulch around the property
- Repairing dumpster corrals, cleaning areas
- Removing pet waste if necessary
- Maintaining rain gardens and/or flower pots
- Light checks on interior and exterior property
- Coordinating daily activities with the Service Supervisor
- Routinely wiping down commonly touched surfaces (door handles, elevator buttons, etc.)
- Deep cleaning hallways, fixtures, fans, etc., at least bi-annually or annually as needed
- Cleaning dryer vents
- Painting doors, touching up trim, posts, etc.
- Salting and snow removal on sidewalks and ADA parking
- Minor exterior repairs, ensuring downspouts are clear, splash guards are in place and good condition, lower siding repairs, etc.
- Reporting missing shingles, facia, edging, etc., to the Service Supervisor
- Reporting any areas where irrigation may not be working properly to the Service Supervisor
- Performing all other duties assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma, general education degree, or related vocational training and/or equivalent work experience
- Basic knowledge of apartment building systems and maintenance preferred
- Ability to receive and follow detailed instructions and ensure they are followed
- General basic knowledge of plumbing, appliances, mechanical, electrical, drywall repair, HVAC systems, and carpentry experience is preferred
- Ability to display effective communication, customer service, and organizational skills
