At Gillespie Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is a challenging role that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team to maintain the grounds and facilities of our community.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, repairs, and upkeep of all exterior areas, including parking lots, sidewalks, and landscaping. They will also be responsible for performing basic service tasks, such as cleaning out carports, sweeping parking lots, and removing trash.
In addition to these duties, the successful candidate will be required to perform various other tasks, including:
- Daily trash pick up and removal
- Cleaning up curbs and sidewalks
- Sweeping parking lots
- Cleaning out carports
- Basic service tasks, including painting apartments for new tenants
- Trimming shrubs and laying mulch around the property
- Maintaining rain gardens and flower pots
- Light checks on interior and exterior of the property
We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and possess excellent communication and customer service skills.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of apartment building systems and maintenance
- Ability to receive and follow detailed instructions
- General knowledge of plumbing, appliances, mechanical, electrical, drywall repair, HVAC systems, and carpentry experience preferred
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
