Receptionist - Gillman Subaru
The Gillman Companies is an established group of family-owned automobile dealerships based out of Houston, TX. The service cashier receives payments for service transactions and plays a key role in maintaining or creating customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greets customers at the cashier window in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Computes customer bills.
- Receives cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers; records amount received.
- Make changes and issues receipts to customers.
- Provides cash refunds or credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise.
- Operates cash register.
- Reconciles cash drawer daily.
- Refers customers who have questions about the work that is performed, additional maintenance or repairs, etc. to the services advisor or other appropriate individual.
- Handles customer complaints with integrity and poise and, when necessary, refers dissatisfied customers to the appropriate individuals for resolution.
- Maintains and files repair orders and rental forms; lists missing documents.
- Closes all open invoices.
- Assists the service department with telephone coverage.
- Provides clerical assistance to the service department.
- Works with department managers to keep abreast of new products and services offers, their features and value, and any changes in price.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Keeps work area neat and clean.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read, comprehend and write instructions and information
- 2 years of experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Basic skills with computer and other office machines (copier, credit card machine, telephone, adding machine) necessary to perform the cashiering/clerical duties
- Professional personal appearance
- Ability to work well with customers and present a friendly, helpful attitude at all times
- Must be able to pass pre-employment testing to include a criminal background check, MVR, and drug test
