Gillmann Services is now hiring for a Certified Green Hardwood Lumber Grader in Richwood, WV!
Responsibilities:
- Inspect green hardwood lumber for defects (knots, stains, decay, splits, faulty edges, pitch pockets, wormholes, and defective milling)
- Grade wood according to company/national standards
- Keep accurate records of inspection results for data reporting
- Marking boards based on what is needed (oversize, needs trimming, etc.)
- Ensure production, quality control, and safety
- Any other duties as needed
Requirements:
- Experience in lumber grading required
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a drug and background screening
- NHLA Certification
