**Job Overview**
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator with experience in operating Excavators and Long Reach Loaders to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is operated efficiently and safely while supporting the successful completion of various construction projects. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of safety, efficiency, and quality that Gillmann Services is known for.
**Duties**
- Operate heavy equipment including Excavators and Long Reach Loaders safely and efficiently on construction sites.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries on-site.
- Assist with excavation, grading, and other construction tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues with machinery and report significant problems to supervisors.
- Ensure that the work site is in good condition at the end of each shift.
**Experience**
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically Excavators and Long Reach Loaders.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic repairs and maintenance on equipment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred; additional certifications related to heavy equipment operation are a plus.
