The sanitation team is responsible for cleaning the Packaging department and all common areas of the plant while following Gilman Cheese policies and procedures.
This position will work from 4:00 P.M. until about 2:30 A.M. Monday through Thursday. Fridays are scheduled based on business needs (typically 15 Fridays per year are required). Advance notice is provided when Friday work is required.

The starting pay rate is $20.25 per hour. New employees are eligible for a $.50 per hour increase after 90 days of employment.
New employees also are eligible for a $500 bonus after (3) months of employment and a second $500 bonus after (6) months of employment!
Duties include but are not limited to:
Cleaning and sanitizing packaging equipment and work areas including floors, drains, lifts, tiromats, and common areas
Following proper sanitation procedures and guidelines
Disposing of waste and recycling materials properly
Assisting with general housekeeping tasks as needed
Complying with all safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements
Other duties as assigned by team lead, production manager, or quality supervisor

Qualifications:
Prior experience working in a sanitation team preferred
Ability to follow instructions and communicate with team members
Attention to detail and strong work ethic
Physical ability to frequently lift and carry objects up to 20lbs; occasional lifting/carrying objects weighing up to 30lbs.)
Position involves continuous standing and walking, bending, seldom crouching, kneeling, and climbing.
Full-time employees are eligible for:
Eight (8) paid holidays and two (2) floating holidays per year; employees are eligible for holiday pay on the first day of employment
No weekend shifts
PTO after 60 days of employment
