OUR SCHOOL
Gilman School is a pre-kindergarten through twelfth-grade private independent day school for boys. Set on a 57-acre campus in the northern part of Baltimore City, Gilman serves roughly 1,000 students in three divisions. The School has a full-time faculty of nearly 140, and the average class size is 16 students.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Take on a key leadership role in the Bridges Summer Institute that includes managing special events, head counselors, and our high school volunteer program.
- Direct our after-school program for 4th and 5th graders. Work as a part-time teacher at Gilman School in one of the three divisions – Lower, Middle, or Upper.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Undergraduate degree with a proven record of academic success
- Volunteer / work / leadership experience
- Experience working with urban youth between the ages of 8 and 18
- Success in at least one post-high school leadership role
- We will look favorably upon prior volunteer experience at Bridges
