Responsibilities
- Operate various types of trucks including dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers to transport sand to designated locations.
- Load and unload sand efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including freight documentation and load weights.
- Navigate routes effectively while complying with traffic laws and regulations.
- Manage the manual transmission of vehicles when required, ensuring smooth operation during transport.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required.
- Experience operating tanker trucks, refrigerated trailers, or other heavy-duty vehicles is preferred.
- Ability to load and unload freight safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols.
- Capability to drive manual transmission vehicles as needed.
- Excellent navigation skills with a focus on timely deliveries.
