Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park has an immediate opening for the position of Food & Beverage Area Supervisor in Gilroy, California. This position supervises daily food operations within the park, including restaurants, concession carts, and special events. Works directly with Food and Beverage Full Time Management on maintaining and improving all aspects of park operation.
- Selects, trains, directs, schedules, evaluates and disciplines associate and supervisory staff with appropriate documentation.
- Responds to and takes appropriate action to resolve concerns and complaints from Park guests and associates.
- Maintains clear, concise specific lines of communication between management, Associates, and other departments.
- Possesses maneuverability and mobility to work in Park.
- Takes steps to ensure that Associates are trained in all facets of the operation such as service procedures, production flow, equipment usage and cleaning, and menu items.
- Reviews attendance schedules and assigns daily assignment schedules prepared by Operations Managers and supervisors to ensure efficient operation of the locations and areas.
- Monitors safety procedures to ensure that they are followed.
- Handles and assists in any emergency situation.
- Ensures all work, guest storage and service areas are cleaned and meet local and state sanitation guidelines.
- Possesses ability to lead associates.
- Reviews staffing levels for locations to ensure each can run effectively and efficiently.
- Ensures compliance with state and federal laws.
- Performs all job duties and other duties as assigned.
- Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid State/Driver's License required.
- Must have reliable transportation to get to work.
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the policies and procedures of the park and the Food & Beverage Division.
- Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state or provincial law.
