The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying leads and selling logistics solutions through a consultative sales approach, by integrating Giltner's suite of services. You will be responsible for building relationships throughout Giltner and the client's organization. The right candidate will facilitate the smooth execution of business by communicating clearly with operations and ensuring the ongoing service and growth of your accounts.

JOB DESCRIPTION :

The National Account Manager is responsible for effectively managing the portfolio of business for assigned accounts. The NAM will also be responsible for building and maintaining a diversified and comprehensive sales pipeline. In addition, the NAM is responsible for bringing on new high-level customers based on objectives set each year. Takes ownership of all aspects of their client base including KPI reviews, problem-solving, rate reviews, and any other tasks deemed necessary. Total client ownership while establishing strategic account relationships and striving for exceptional customer service. People management responsibility as it relates to customer workflow and establishing processes for staff to follow that will ensure an excellent customer experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In an ethical and professional manner, contribute to the strategic growth of the company by finding and closing customer opportunities that lead to the profitable growth of Giltner Inc.
  • High level of sales activity to include prospecting, daily cold calling, CRM record keeping, follow up, and closing
  • Servicing existing client relationships
  • Maintaining existing client relationships
  • Leverage existing relationships with clients for prospecting and gaining additional business
  • Consulting with clients about industry disruptors that will affect their supply chain
  • Provide supply chain solutions to clients to solve logistical needs and opportunities
  • Collaborate with operations, pricing, IT dept. and sr. leadership
  • Communicate service interruptions to customers in order to maintain good working relationships and business retention
  • REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in B2B sales in transportation / logistics or similar technical industry
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM products preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business data and reports
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and implementation documents
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to managers, clients, customers, and others
  • Strong presentation skills over the phone, through written communication, and in-person
  • Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Some after-hours or weekend work as required by customer demands or seasonality typical in the transportation industry
  • Fluent in Microsoft products with an emphasis on Word and Excel
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred
  • Valid Driver's License
