Job Overview:
We are looking for a knowledgeable and passionate Natural Health Retail Advisor to join our team. This role involves assisting customers with their herbal product needs, making handcrafted herbal products, and helping maintain a welcoming and organized store environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in natural health and wellness and be enthusiastic about educating customers on the benefits of herbs, supplements, teas, and other holistic products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet and assist customers, answer questions, and provide recommendations based on individual health needs.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain an up-to-date understanding of herbal products, supplements, teas, essential oils, and other wellness offerings.
- Making Herbal Products: Prepare and create herbal remedies, tinctures, teas, salves, oils, and other products according to established recipes and customer preferences. Ensure all products are made to high standards of quality and safety.
- Sales Support: Help customers choose the best products, offer alternatives, and explain product benefits. Promote sales and inform customers about current promotions.
- Inventory Management: Monitor product stock levels, restock shelves, and assist with inventory checks.
- Store Organization: Keep the shop clean and organized, ensuring products are displayed in an appealing and accessible manner.
- Customer Education: Provide information about how to use herbal products and supplements, and offer advice on lifestyle changes that complement their wellness goals.
- Product Restocking and Merchandising: Ensure that products are properly shelved, organized, and correctly labeled.
- Processing Transactions: Handle register transactions accurately, including sales, returns, and exchanges.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and store policies, especially when handling and making herbal products.
- Order Follow-up: Call customers to address any issues related to ordering, shipping, or product availability, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Event Planning and Staffing: Prepare for and assist in staffing store events, pop-ups, and workshops. Ensure events are well-organized and engaging for customers.
- Community Outreach: Reach out to local community partners to build and curate the shop’s event calendar, fostering partnerships to host collaborative events and promote the store’s offerings.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred, especially in a health or wellness setting. Knowledge of herbal medicine, holistic health, or related fields is a plus.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, customer service orientation, and an eagerness to learn about new products.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with herbs, teas, natural supplements, essential oils, and alternative wellness practices. Experience in creating or crafting herbal products is a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs, and stand for long periods during shifts.
