Floater

Starting Pay: $14/per hour with opportunities for higher pay based on experience.

Hours: 1pm-6pm

Holidays: 11 Paid Holidays

Ginghamsburg Preschool and Childcare center is looking for a Floater for Toddler Rooms

Accountable To:

• Center Director

Education & Experience:

• Required: High School Diploma
• 1-2 years of experience working with children.
• Preferred: Child Development Associates Certification (CDA), Associate’s Degree or Higher in Early Childhood Education or Related Field

Requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Have the ability to plan and implement methods of establishing a positive partnership with the child’s parents.
• Have the ability to evaluate on an on-going basis the social/emotional, cognitive, physical and spiritual developmental stages of an individual child.
• Demonstrate the ability to create and effectively implement age appropriate lessons.
• Understand a toddler’s social/emotional, cognitive, physical and spiritual developmental needs.
• In-service trainings
• First Aid and CPR
• Communicable Disease and Child Abuse Classes
• 10 hours of State required classes each year of employment
• This position requires a high level of physical labor including but not limited to:
• Employee should be able to lift and hold up to 50 lbs.
• Employee should be able to sit on the floor with children for prolonged periods of time.
• Employee should be able to bend and reach from floor to waist several times throughout the day.
• Employee should be able to crawl around on the floor and interact with the children in their space.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
