What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmology Front desk (min 3 yrs) position at Ginsberg Eye?
We are a boutique style surgical Ophthalmology practice located in Olde Naples. We are seeking a self motivated, professional, and experienced medical receptionist to be part of our Ginsberg Eye family. This position requires multi-tasking in a fast paced environment while being the face of our practice. The front desk person is responsible for delivering a consistent and polished positive patient experience, while building relationships and making patients comfortable from the moment they enter our practice doors.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
- Primary focus is providing patients with the highest quality patient experience and navigating patients from their initial contact with the practice through the completion of their visits and/or procedure(s).
- Handle all incoming calls to practice, emails, etc. in an informative, professional and timely manner
- Welcoming patients
- Patient check in and check out
- Confirm appointments
- Assists in maintaining a smooth, punctual and efficient patient flow
- Maintaining medical records
- Some medical billing and coding is preferred
- Assist in coordinating surgery scheduling and follow-up appointments, collection of fees, and insurance when needed
- Assist with any financing options
- Typing 40 wpm
- This position may require travel in future

Required Experience:
MUST have a minimum of 3 years Ophthalmology receptionist experience
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required. College degree or working towards degree is preferred.
