Ginsberg’s Foods in Hudson, NY is looking to hire a full-time, back-up Yard Driver! No CDL required!
We’re looking for someone that takes pride in their work, helping to make our Night Team operations flow smoothly, which will also help to set up our Drivers for success. This is accomplished by efficiently and properly docking our trailers so they can be loaded, keeping trailers clean inside and out, and ensuring tractors and trailers are adequately fueled for the next day’s deliveries.
This is an active job; therefore, you must be able to comfortably lift and maneuver cases that range from 1lb – 80lbs AND have yard jockey experience.
Weekly Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 5pm start. Overtime is mandatory when needed during the work week and is available weekly after 40hrs.
Compensation: $22/hr - $25/hr, based on experience and qualifications.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Responsible for moving trailers in and out of assigned loading dock doors.
- Conducts daily outbound trailer inspections to include checking for product tampering, pest presence, trailer cleanliness and proper temperature settings.
- Performs light mechanical maintenance of trucks.
- Regularly verifies proper operation and temperatures of refrigeration units.
- Unloads totes, pallets, returned and damaged products from truck onto dock.
- Clean trucks and sweeps and washes trailers when necessary.
- Fuels tractor and trailers, and checks all fluids daily.
- Performs other functions as required or directed.
