Duties & Responsibilities

· Greet and assist customers in a friendly and efficient manner.

· Answer customer inquiries regarding bakery products, pricing, and availability.

· Provide product recommendations and upsell bakery items when appropriate.

· Accurately process customer transactions using the register.

· Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments.

· Give correct change and ensure that the register is balanced at the end of each shift.

· Assist with packaging bakery items for customers.

· Ensure that bakery displays are well-stocked and visually appealing.

· Ensure that product prices are clearly displayed.

· Keep the cashier area clean, organized, and sanitized.

· Ensure that the front counter area is tidy and welcoming.

· Assist with cleaning duties as needed, such as sweeping and wiping down surfaces.

· Communicate with the team about customer preferences, special orders, or product

shortages.

· Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

· Prior experience in a bakery, retail or customer service is preferred

· Experience working in fast-paced environments

· Ability to handle cash and operate a register accurately

· Attention to detail and ability to multitask

· Positive attitude and friendly demeanor

· Effective communication skills

· Strong teamwork

Physical Requirements

· Ability to continuously stand or walk

· Ability to bend and lift occasionally

· Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally

· May encounter temperatures ranging from 32 degrees to 425 degrees around equipment

in the kitchen if needed to enter that area

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
