Maintenance Technician- 3rd Shift

3rd shift hours are Monday-Friday, 10pm-6am with OT opportunity as the business needs.

Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's level of experience and qualifications

Proficiently diagnose, repair, replace and/or overhaul all mechanical components for numerous types of equipment including but not limited to production equipment (Blenders, Grinders, Pumps, Fillers, Sealers, Cappers & Conveyors), packaging equipment (Metal detectors, Printers, Case packers & Case tapers), electrically operated equipment, variable speed controllers, hydraulic equipment, air compressors, air handlers, HVAC and related software programs, etc. Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the repair and upkeep of the facility and its machinery.
  • Perform preventative (PM) maintenance tasks on company equipment.
  • Execute timely hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical machine repairs per work orders.
  • Perform routine maintenance around the building.
  • Repair plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.
  • Work on low-voltage electrical issues
  • Perform hazardous communication audits and address potential safety hazards.
  • Practice and maintain efficient housekeeping.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • 1-2 years of related experience in packing machines/production machines with specific experience in
  • Understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques
  • Compliance and understanding of safety rules and regulations by participating in annual training.
  • Must be flexible to work weekends and other shifts as needed.
  • Self-motivated and able to work well independently and in a team setting.
