Delivery Driver / Courier (1099 Contractor) Weekends available

Job description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Courier Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with deliveries and possess a cargo van, as well as a valid driver's license. This position will require you to load and unload packages, drive set routes, and work in a warehouse environment. As a 1099 contractor, drivers are responsible for their own vehicle and gas. The driver's day ends depending on their own productivity. Must pass background check.

Responsibilities:

• DRIVE YOUR OWN VEHICLE to transport packages to their destination
• Ability to pay for your own fuel
• Deliver 50 - 150 packages in an 8 hour day. Stops typically 2-3 mins apart.
• Load and unload packages from the vehicle
• Plan and follow set routes to ensure timely delivery of packages
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups using smart device
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status
• Adhere to all safety procedures and traffic laws
• Be willing to work in all weather conditions
• Be willing to work 7 days during peak season
• Bring a great attitude and a strong work ethic
• Expectation is routes are 99.5% delivered . (Unfinished route = last day of work)
• 100% of deliveries completed with scanning device. No manual deliveries.
• Correct your own mistakes (Go back to delivery addresses if necessary)

Skills:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Own vehicle insurance is a must
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to provide your own vehicle and pay for your own gas

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $500.00 - $1,800.00 per week

Work Days:

• Every weekend
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
• Weekends only
