They enjoy supervising, mentoring, guiding, and engaging with children outside of the classroom.
Essential Expectations of Girard College Residential Advisors Include but Are Not Limited to :
- Continuously monitor an assigned building / students and log hourly student headcounts and activity into the electronic system.
- Provide an accessible, supportive, and nurturing living environment for the students.
- Be accessible to students for personal and emergency situations.
- Lead, instruct and facilitate the "Morning Life Skills" curriculum.
- Wake students and supervise them while they get ready for school.
- Accompany students to breakfast and supervise them while they eat.
- Enforce rules, policies and procedures governing good student conduct.
- Accompany and / or drive students off campus in an emergency situation.
- Serve as a role model for the students.
- Perform other duties as required.
