Enrollment Specialist Part-Time Bilingual Spanish
Girard College is a full-scholarship college preparatory boarding school for academically capable students from qualified families of limited financial resources. The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the Part-Time Bilingual Spanish Enrollment Specialist is responsible for Girard College creating, maintaining, and strengthening Girard College’s long-term Latino prospective student pipeline. The Part-Time Bilingual Spanish Enrollment Specialist participates in all admissions office functions, including all aspects of the recruitment, enrollment, and selection of students. The Part-Time Bilingual Spanish Enrollment Specialist is an energetic, ethical, and collaborative professional with a team approach to problem-solving and the proven customer service, communication, presentation, and planning skills necessary to collaborate productively with staff, faculty, students, and their families, and the Spanish speaking community. The Part-Time Bilingual Spanish Enrollment Specialist demonstrates Spanish fluency in reading, writing, and oral language. The ideal candidate has knowledge and experience in strategic recruitment and admissions, preferably, in an independent school setting. This is a year-round part-time position averaging 16-19 hours weekly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in all Office of Admissions activities including recruitment, enrollment management, and marketing
- Create long-term quality applicant pipeline through strategic recruitment planning, marketing, and execution
- Identify and attend external school fairs making admissions presentations to area schools and organizations
- Help plan, facilitate, and attend Spanish-led information sessions, luncheons, and school visits (internal and external)
- Increase inquiry and applicant pool through technology, marketing, and outreach initiatives to help meet full enrollment
- Continuously utilize data points and surveys to assist in making recruitment decisions
- Helps create recruitment marketing plan
- Prepare recruitment reports
- Communicate recruitment-related outcomes and project progress
- Facilitate tours for community partners, prospective families and students
- Support community partners and families in a communication-intensive role via timely and prompt phone calls, emails, and text messaging
- Provide input on Admissions Office policies and procedures concerning the recruitment and admission of a diverse student body from various socioeconomic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds
- Work closely with Girard College Deans, faculty, and staff to help attract and yield mission-appropriate students
- Utilize technology to assist in expanding, coordinating, and growing the internal and external marketing efforts of the Admissions office
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Admissions
Qualifications
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
- The ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish with fluency
- B.S. or B.A. degree strongly preferred
- At least two years of experience in admissions or related field at an independent school, college level, or non-profit
- Experience at an independent school preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
- A commitment to diversity and an understanding of and commitment to the mission of Girard College is essential
- Knowledge of computer systems, admissions, and student information software
- Experience with FinalSite Enrollment (formerly SchoolAdmin) and Infinite Campus databases a plus
- Self-driven and project-oriented
- Enjoys being on the phone and values great customer service
- Must have reliable transportation
