A Day in the Life as an Assembly Worker
As an Assembly Worker, you will build products by putting together parts and components using blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents. Responsibilities include :
- Using blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents to understand the components and how to assemble them.
- Ensuring the parts are high quality and functional and that all necessary parts / supplies are available.
- Using hand tools and machinery to assemble parts, making sure they fit correctly and meet the specifications.
- Performing routine inspections to check the quality and accuracy of the finished product.
- Maintaining equipment and conveyors, and perform basic repairs when needed.
- Maintaining logs, records, and reports about production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
- Following the company's safety standards and policies.
- Conserving resources and supplies to minimize waste.
Assemblers may specialize in certain types of products, such as electronic assembly or industrial assembly. They may work in a variety of settings, from clean, well-lit rooms to noisier environments with heavy equipment.
Schedule : Monday-Thursday, 10-hour shifts (4x10)
