Job Description

The Regional Director of Food & Beverage oversees the success of several restaurants within a designated region spanning Northern New England (mid Maine / New Hampshire and Vermont). This leadership position demands a highly motivated and results-driven individual with a successful history in managing high-volume, multi-unit restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership, operational, and financial expertise, coupled with a genuine passion for creating exceptional guest experiences. Prior experience as an Executive Chef and Front of House Manager, or as a Director of Food and Beverage in a restaurant environment, is essential. This role requires a lot of travel / visitations with some work from home. Residency within Midcoast Maine is a plus.

Key Responsibilities :

Operational Excellence :

  • Oversee the daily operations of multiple restaurants within the assigned region, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality food and beverage service.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize efficiency, productivity, and profitability across all units.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales volume, guest satisfaction, cost of goods sold, labor costs, and employee turnover.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess restaurant performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide on-the-ground support to restaurant managers.

Financial Management :

  • Develop and manage the regional food and beverage budget, ensuring profitability targets are met.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, forecast future performance, and make informed business decisions.
  • Conduct regular cost analysis of food and beverage products to optimize pricing and maximize profitability.
  • Oversee inventory management and control to minimize waste and ensure product quality.
  • Team Leadership & Development :

  • Recruit, hire, and train high-performing restaurant chefs and kitchen managers
  • Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Emphasize the importance and benefit of regularly practicing established SOPS.
  • Foster a positive and supportive work environment that motivates and engages employees. Be an exemplary example of the positive work culture, Giri Hotels highest priority.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve employee performance.
  • Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Guest Experience :

  • Ensure exceptional guest service is delivered at all times, exceeding customer expectations.
  • Monitor guest feedback through surveys, reviews, and direct interactions to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement strategies to enhance the guest experience, such as personalized service, special events, and loyalty programs.
  • Quality & Safety :

  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety and sanitation in all restaurants.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct random and quarterly inspections to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
  • Implement and maintain effective preventative maintenance programs for restaurant equipment.
  • Menu Development & Innovation :

  • Collaborate with culinary teams to develop and implement new menu items and seasonal promotions.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify menu trends and customer preferences.
  • Ensure menu pricing is competitive and profitable.
  • Qualifications :

  • 10 years of progressive F&B management, multi-unit experience required, hotel Independent / branded experience preferred, and experience in a Corporate role preferred.
  • Experience in opening new properties from concept to opening.
  • Strong understanding of food costing, beverage costing, menu engineering, and inventory management.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.
  • Proficient experience in Microsoft Office Suite, POS, and Payroll systems.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region.

  • Compensation

    110,000 - $111,000 Annually
