Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines, ensuring proper tooling and fixtures are in place.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce parts that meet strict tolerances.
- Conduct regular inspections of finished products using precision measuring instruments.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
- Handle materials safely within the warehouse environment.
Skills
- Proficient in tooling selection and setup for CNC lathe operations.
- Experience with hand tools and basic maintenance of machinery.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
- Familiarity with CAD software for interpreting designs and specifications.
- Understanding of logic controllers used in CNC machinery.
- Experience in warehouse operations, including materials handling practices.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
