Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Hi-lo Driver to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, including forklifts and cherry pickers, to efficiently move products and materials within the distribution center. This role requires a strong focus on safety and adherence to OSHA regulations while ensuring accurate inventory management.
Duties
- Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, and other heavy equipment to load and unload products safely.
- Navigate the warehouse using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory and manage orders.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to efficiently fulfill orders and maintain workflow.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including OSHA standards, to promote a safe working environment.
- Assist in organizing the warehouse layout for optimal space utilization and accessibility.
- Participate in training sessions for new equipment or processes as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience operating forklifts or cherry pickers in a warehouse or distribution center setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with mechanical operations and basic maintenance of heavy equipment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control processes is beneficial.
- Understanding of safety regulations, particularly OSHA guidelines, is essential for maintaining workplace safety.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
