We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Worker to join our team. As a Yard Worker, you will be responsible for various tasks related to warehouse operations and materials handling. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and the operation of equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks using forklifts or other equipment
- Organize and maintain inventory in the yard
- Use warehouse management systems to track and locate items
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes
- Operate order pickers to fulfill customer orders
- Perform general maintenance and cleaning of the yard area
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times
Skills:
- Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems
- Strong ability to load and unload materials safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of proper stock handling techniques
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and manual labor
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
