About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wellness Lead to join our team at GIRL SCOUTS HEART OF CENTRAL CALIFORNIA. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital part in ensuring the mental and emotional well-being of our campers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training and Education: Participate in training and education sessions to develop skills and knowledge in mental health and wellness, including workshops and conferences.
- Staff Support: Provide support and guidance to staff on mental health and wellness issues, including providing resources and referrals as needed.
- Program Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services related to mental health and wellness, including gathering data and making recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
- Education: Two years of college, desired background working with children in social work, psychology, counseling, family therapy, or a similar field.
- Experience: Background working with children in crisis situations, ability to lead and problem-solve effectively, respond and support mental health crisis situations in a calm manner.
- Skills: Ability to function independently, highly responsible and trustworthy, desire and ability to work with children outdoors in varied conditions, excellent spoken and written communication skills.
