Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wellness Lead to join our team at GIRL SCOUTS HEART OF CENTRAL CALIFORNIA. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital part in ensuring the mental and emotional well-being of our campers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Camp Operations: Assist in the overall operation of the camp, including supervising campers, supporting staff, and ensuring the camp environment is safe and supportive.
- Program Development: Develop and implement programs that promote the mental and emotional well-being of campers, including creating and delivering workshops and activities.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with campers, staff, and parents regarding the mental and emotional well-being of campers, including sharing concerns and successes.
Requirements:
- Education: Two years of college, desired background working with children in social work, psychology, counseling, family therapy, or a similar field.
- Experience: Background working with children in crisis situations, ability to lead and problem-solve effectively, respond and support mental health crisis situations in a calm manner.
- Skills: Ability to function independently, highly responsible and trustworthy, desire and ability to work with children outdoors in varied conditions, excellent spoken and written communication skills.
