Job Title: Summer Camp CIT Supervisor
The Summer Camp CIT Supervisor is responsible for the development and execution of the Counselors-in-Training (CIT) summer camp sessions in a residential setting with close contact and overnight supervision of a Girl Scout minor girl population. Due to this, the Summer Camp CIT Supervisor must be female.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and facilitate all CIT programs, ensuring that they are well-structured and engaging for the participants.
- Evaluate CIT performance mid-summer and at the end of the camp season, awarding eligible CIT with a certificate of completion at the end of the camp season.
- Ensure the CIT are present at assigned locations and are on time for all programs throughout each day, promoting punctuality and responsibility.
- Keep written records of the CIT and CIT programming, making formal reports, and submitting within established deadlines, demonstrating attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Conduct cabin inspections of CIT at random to ensure units are tidy and well-maintained, upholding high standards of cleanliness and orderliness.
- Plan and lead staff meetings when Summer Camp Manager and Summer Camp Unit Supervisor are absent, showcasing leadership skills and ability to take charge.
- Assist in the execution of the GSHPA crisis management plan for emergencies that may occur during camp at any time, day or night, prioritizing safety and well-being.
- Follow all ACA and GSUSA guidelines in all activity areas, adhering to established protocols and regulations.
- Abide by GSHPA code of conduct, rules, and expectations, upholding a strong moral compass and commitment to excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
Requirements:
- Minimum 21 years of age, demonstrating maturity and experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree or coursework in Camp Administration, Education, Outdoor Education or related degree, or equivalent experience preferred, highlighting a strong educational foundation and relevant expertise.
- Previous experience working in a camp leadership setting required, showcasing a proven track record of success in similar roles.
- Preferred experience working with young adults, demonstrating an ability to connect with and inspire this age group.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate girls to participate in activities and lead activities in a professional manner, highlighting exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, ensuring safe transportation and mobility.
- Must present a current form of ID affirming female gender at time of hire, upholding the requirement of being female for this role.
- Must be able to pass required background checks, demonstrating a commitment to safety and trustworthiness.

- Attend and complete pre-camp trainings, demonstrating a proactive approach to learning and development.
