Overview:
As a Community Program Presenter, you’ll be the face of Girl Scouts Louisiana East, bringing the excitement of Girl Scouting directly to K-12 girls in schools, churches, and community centers. Your mission? Have fun while inspiring and engaging diverse youth through interactive presentations, activities, and events that spark curiosity and encourage participation in Girl Scouts.
What You’ll Do
- Lead dynamic presentations and hands-on activities that introduce girls to Girl Scouts.
- Foster relationships with schools, community organizations, and outreach sites to expand programming.
- Manage event logistics and data—set up, attendance, material distribution, and facilitation; collect information and report outcomes.
- Ensure a positive, inclusive, and engaging experience for all participants.
- Maintain an organized schedule and collaborate with the team to maximize outreach impact.
What You Bring
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in English, Communications, or related field preferred.
- 1 year experience working with youth (schools, camps, clubs, community programs, etc.).
- Experience in nonprofit or volunteer-based settings preferred.
- Familiarity with Girl Scout programs is a plus.
Skills & Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old and become a Girl Scouts USA member.
- Valid driver’s license & insurance required; must be able to travel to various program sites.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Passion for youth engagement and ability to connect with diverse communities.
- Strong public speaking and communication skills to engage large and small groups.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a positive attitude.
