PURPOSE:
To administer program activities that provide maximum benefits to campers and staff.
RESPONSIBLE TO:
Camp Director & Assistant Camp Director & Lead Program Specialist
LOCATION:
Camp Dellwood

May 27, 2025 - July 22, 2025
Girl Scouts of Central Indiana, Inc. will recruit, hire, train, and promote persons in all job titles without regard to age, color, disability, genetic information, gender, national or ethnic origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1. Deliver Girl Scout program to units and girls.
2. Conduct program planning and delivery.
3. Help to create new and exciting programs.
4. Teach appreciation of the out-of-doors.
5. Guide activities and experiences through use of girl-leader planning, and the Girl Scout program.
6. Coordinates program activities for specific area.
7. Work with Campers, Aides, Volunteer Directors, Volunteer Staff, and other Staff.
8. Assume responsibility for the physical health and safety and the mental welfare of the campers.
9. Be responsible for unit cleaning/activity at the end of each session and at the end of camp.
10. Act as ambassador for the unit and activity area.
11. Assist Tag Staff, Math and Science Center, and Kitchen Staff when not facilitating program activity/planning.
12. Keep records and make reports as required.
13. Makes every effort to have a strong, cohesive program to provide the best program and atmosphere for the campers.
14. Follow camp rules and regulations.
15. Helps with when needed at other camp activities, help in the kitchen with clean up and serving when needed.
16. Cleans and stores equipment at end of summer.
17. These are not the only duties to be performed. Some duties may be reassessed, and other duties may be assigned as required.

Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience working with children.
- Possess management and organizational skills.
- Ability to teach and guide campers.
- Able to communicate effectively with staff and campers.
- Possess enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control.
Must hold membership in the Girl Scout organization and subscribe to the tenets of the Girl Scout Promise and Law.
