We are seeking staff who excel at building lasting relationships in communities with families, parents, volunteers, and community partners to grow the Girl Scout movement through increasing membership. Membership Experience Recruitment Specialists recruit, engage, and support adults who volunteer with our youth members in their communities.

Requirements
What Success in this Role Looks Like
- Recruitment: Seek opportunities and foster relationships with community organizations, schools, educators, and faith-based institutions to increase awareness and promote the benefits of Girl Scouting in effort to positivity impact membership growth.
- Community Engagement: Facilitate speaking engagements/presentations at community organizations, faith-based organizations, and schools as a means of reaching potential girl and adult members with the Girl Scout message.
- Marketing: Share resources, distribute promotional materials, and participate in both virtual and in-person events to generate new girl & adult leads.
- Training: Clearly communicate to members the Girl Scout mission including the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and teach volunteers that provide direct support to girls how to engage in the Girl Scout experience.
Skills Needed for Success
- Passionate about the Girl Scout mission and leadership and the ability to relate well to both adults and children.
- Aptitude to hear the word “no” as an opportunity.
- Self-motivated and efficient with strong time-management skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Flexibility to work some evenings and some weekends as required.
- Valid license and regular access to a reliable vehicle for travel within the Council’s jurisdiction.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in sales and customer service and working with diverse groups of people.
- Comfortable and able to converse in Spanish would be useful (but not a must).
