The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the wellbeing of campers and staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and providing support to operational, program, cabin leadership, and health staff as needed.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead off-site programs for groups of campers and staff, ensuring seamless execution and a positive experience for all participants.
- Assist with on-site programming and provide support to other staff members as needed.
- Oversee the care and maintenance of leased vehicles, including daily checks and routine maintenance.
- Develop and implement emergency action plans (EAPs) in response to incidents or unexpected events.
- Collaborate with the property, hospitality, operational, program, health, and cabin leadership teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of college or relevant work experience.
- Current certifications in First Aid/CPR, Child Abuse Mandated Reporter, Universal Standard Precautions, Medication Administration, WFA/WFR, USA Archery Level 1, Lifeguard, and Small Craft Safety Facilitation.
- Preferred experience working with children, in an outdoor program setting, and driving large vehicles.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and meet GSCO's standards.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
