About the Role:
We are looking for a Summer Camp Chef Director who can oversee the planning, preparation, and serving of meals to 50-310 people per day. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing kitchen staff, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and ensuring that all food is prepared and served in accordance with state and local health department regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and serve meals to 50-310 people per day
- Manage kitchen staff and ensure they have the necessary training and resources to perform their duties effectively
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to state and local health department regulations
- Order and manage food supplies, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and of high quality
- Collaborate with other departments to plan and deliver special events and activities
Requirements:
- Minimum of five years' experience as a cook/chef in an industrial kitchen
- Previous experience cooking and serving large groups of people (50-310) per day
- Documented experience in meal preparation for individuals with restricted diets and/or food allergies
- Possession of current SERV Safe Certification and First Aid/CPR certification
