Position Summary
The Senior Manager, College & Career Advancement leads the development and delivery of innovative programs that empower Girl Scouts to explore and achieve their educational and professional goals.
At Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri, most of our roles work in a hybrid capacity (in office, remote, and/or in the field). Details will be provided during the interview process.

The position is full time with a competitive minimum starting salary of $62,429!
Essential Job Duties
- Plan, organize, and execute postsecondary and career programming, both in-person and virtually, throughout the Council.
- Foster a college-going culture within the GSEM community.
- Integrate best practices in college access programing and collaborate with local college access providers to enhance program quality.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with external partners, including college access organizations, colleges, universities and corporations, to expand college and career opportunities for Girl Scouts.
- Oversee and manage GSEM’s Young Professional Association (YPA).
- Build and maintain partnerships with schools and universities to support program objectives.
- Collaborate closely with the Life Skills Program Manager and GSBB teams to align efforts and optimize program outcomes.
- Provide essential resources to participants, including financial coaching, FAFSA completion assistance, scholarship guidance, debt management strategies, and institutional coaching for successful campus integration.
- Manages all programming within established budget parameters; and oversees care, management, and resources and supplies.
- Plans and organizes travel opportunities.
- Ensure overall compliance with all applicable policies, funding source requirements, and safety activity guidelines, and complete all required documentation in an accurate, thorough, and timely manner.
- Serve as a collaborative team member, working to advance the mission of Girl Scouts.
- Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, Human Services, or a related field.
- Professional experience in college admissions, college access programming, and/or high school guidance counseling preferred.
- Valid state driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to our insurance carrier.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to plan and coordinate events.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish a good rapport with children, youth, and adults of all abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and other general office equipment.
- Organized thinker with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and the ability to deliver programs confidently and professionally.
- Ability to provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers, and to represent the organization in a professional manner.
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic organization.
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends, including some overnight travel.
- Ability to travel and use personal automobile for work purposes.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time operating a computer, including navigating websites, software platforms, spreadsheets and both electronic and paper documents.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copier, and computer printer.
Occasionally positions self to maintain files in file cabinets.
May need to move boxes weighing up to 25 pounds across office for various needs.
The ability to observe details at close range and at a distance.
Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
Must be able to exchange accurate information.
Is required to drive/operate an automobile.
Work Environment
Constantly works in an indoor professional office environment and/or various campus environments.
Exposed to moderate noise levels.
