A Girl Scout Membership Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to attract, retain, and grow Girl Scout membership within a designated geographic area. The Membership Manager will ensure a positive experience for all participants through effective outreach, communication, continued support and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

Membership Recruitment:
- Through analysis of community needs, and demographic and membership data, develops and implements a strategic recruitment plan for membership growth in designated geographic areas. Increased focus on Hispanic and emerging communities.
- Organizes and conducts recruitment events to achieve membership recruitment goals and works with volunteer recruiters to conduct recruitment events in their geographic area.
- Identifies and targets potential new Girl Scout members through community outreach, partnerships with schools and organizations, and social media campaigns.
- Conducts presentations and workshops to educate families about the Girl Scout program.
- Ensures Girl Scouting is open to all girls and adults by delivering the Girl Scout message of pluralism and diversity to members of the council.

Membership Retention and Support:
- Provides support and guidance to troop leaders to equip them with the necessary skills for leading successful troops, to ensure quality programming and to increase member satisfaction.
- Ensures a welcoming and comprehensive onboarding experience, easy access to resources, continual communication and learning opportunities for new troop leaders and volunteers.
- Organizes member appreciation activities to foster loyalty and retention.
- Provides timely problem solving and conflict resolution support when appropriate.
- Administrative Volunteer Support:
- Establishes the appropriate volunteer administrative support team to accomplish priorities by selecting, appointing, and coaching volunteers.
- Works with admin team to plan recruitment, learning, support and retention efforts.
- Attends monthly meetings to provide information, mini-trainings and continued support to administrative team members, troop leaders and support volunteers.
- Volunteer Recruitment and Management:
- Recruits, onboards and supports adult volunteers to serve as troop leaders, committee members, support staff, volunteer recruiters and various administrative roles.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitors membership trends and analyzes data to identify areas for improvement and adjust recruitment strategies accordingly.
- Prepares regular reports on membership growth, retention rates, and performance.
- Community Engagement:
- Collaborates with local businesses, organizations, religious institutions and community leaders to promote Girl Scouting initiatives and increase visibility.
- Participates in community events and festivals to connect with potential members and volunteers.
- Administrative:
- Provides high quality customer service by optimizing the use of technology, clarifying desired information, researching, locating and delivering findings.
- Works with Membership Support Specialist to properly document all pertinent information in Salesforce to support conversion of leads.
- Assists with volunteer appreciation activities, retreats, training conferences, and events.
- Attends all regular staff meetings, department meetings, team meetings, and additional staff events when requested or assigned.
- Promotes good working relationships with staff and volunteers.
Performs other duties as necessary or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively build relationships with diverse audiences.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is required.
- 2 years of demonstrated experience in membership development/sales, recruitment, and retention strategies.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve organizational goals.
- Passion for the Girl Scout mission and commitment to empowering girls.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to model behavior consistent with the Girl Scout Mission, Promise, Law, and values.
- Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends, occasional overnights as necessary and ability to travel as job requires.
- Willingness to work in a flexible work environment, including satellite property, offsite from home office, public spaces, or other location as job requires.
- Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing approximately 25 pounds.
- Proof of meeting Oklahoma State requirements regarding auto licensing, driver’s license.
- Knowledge of Girl Scouting a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
